Garo language is spoken mainly in Meghalaya,Assam,Tripura and Bangladesh. This language belongs to Tibeto-Burman language family.Below are some of the commonly used Garo words.
* While speaking this language, a glottal stop or pause is to be maintained when there is a word with apostrophe or dot.

Mother: Maina nanga?
Meaning- Son: I wanted some money.
Mother: Why do you want it?
What do you want means, Maiko nanga? Or Maiko nangachim? If you want to say it more politely.
